No. I feel the main reason is that we rather have them crawl in squalor than being responsible for potential mistreatment in hospitals.

It’s silly because maybe 5% were mistreated, everyone including the homeless are subjected to a life of squalor. We put up with so much mistreatment by the police, we really should develop some thick skin around this as well.
