I don’t understand how this is legal


Setting aside the normal disgust I have for this process, I did some googling to make sure there wasn't some important reason why this isn't a repulsive process.

It has origins in English law and has pretty much been used in a tyrannical way the entire time. I tried to see the other side at least.


The other side is: police want your money for their budgets

They have war machines to buy, yaknow

HN has weighed in against filming the police, now? I had no idea.


I legitimately don’t know what you’re talking about. “FTP” does not mean “film the police” if you provide no other context. And a single acronym too-level reply is extremely low effort.


This has nothing to do with File Transfer Protocol.
