Fascinating. Did people really put their height and weight and current salary on their resumes?

Yes.

Here's advice from 1957's "Changing Your Career", United States. Department of the Army, found at https://books.google.com/books?id=94VHAQAAIAAJ&pg=PA23&dq=re...

> VI. Personal Data

> Keep this part of the résumé brief. Give the date of your birth, your height and weight, your marital status, and the number of your dependents. Mention the state if your health.

Or, at https://archive.org/details/jobresumeshowtow0000bieg/page/14... from "Job resumes : how to write them, how to present them, preparing for interviews", 1976:

> Height is mentioned, and weight, too, but weight is perhaps a more significant item. Obesity may suggest glandular malfunctioning, lack of physical agility, and in some cases ungainly appearance. If you are of normal weight for your age and height, state it. If too thin or too heavy, omit this item with the hope that during the interview, your other fine personal and professional qualifications will more than make up for this physical shortcoming. Use your best judgment here, as you would in the case of a physical disability. Briefly state the condition of your health. If it’s excellent, say so. You may even want to indicate the date of your last medical checkup.

It says salary is an optional item, usually omitted. The example resumes towards the end show many with height/weight/age/marital status but none with current salary.
