In my experience, "you" are much more likely to unsafely squeeze past me if I dip to the side of the road.
When I stay in the centre of the lane, "you" actually prefer to wait for the next lane to be free over smearing me out over the pavement. Thanks!
"You" might be annoyed, but I actually get to come home and see my wife and kids, which matters a lot to me (and surely even more to them). Sorry for being selfish!
