Here’s an idea.

Australia builds out lots of solar power to provide the electricity to process the iron ore into steel and export it.

A case of embodied green energy, and climbing up the value chain.

Although on reflection you’d want this to be a continuous flow process not shutting down at dinner each day, which would require vast batteries.
