That is a separate form of power generation that is already being done. Furthermore, they are not mutually exclusive. Much like the microverse in Rick and Morty uses gooble boxes to generate power(analogous to waterwheel) and Zeep Xanflorp creates a miniverse(analogous to kinetic glacial energy?) to render them obsolete, both can be used at the same time.
