Expect more of the narrative of "encrypted messengers support pedophiles" to be pushed in the media now that there's some backlash to EU plans of introducing Chatcontrol[0], which Apple already built in advance [1] (though with a focus on pictures in messages, not chat messages that might be considered grooming) and is planning to enable[2] for phones in UK soon.
Right and expect pedophiles to also use less mainstream software.
Also expect far right militias to congregate on platforms that provide what resembles security.
That's certainly not a surprise. It's a red herring. We can control both groups easily: pretend to be either and observe. Neither of these groups are congregating for the sake of just socializing.
