Google Play app purchases are tied to your account, not your phone. You don't need to try purchase when you get a new phone.

Can I migrate them to my work phone?

In any case, I don't use "Google Play".

Then where did you get them that you paid for them?

Read carefully --- I never said that I did.

If you don't use Google Play and didn't pay for the apps, then why are you complaining? You can just use the ones from F-Droid, which will give you all of the functionality and no nags for free.

Wonder how I got nag screens? Must have been my mistake.

Yes, they are open source and free on f-droid.

Yes - do a build and throw the apk onto the new phone.

you can log in with your personal Google account for a few mins, install the app and logout.

E: not very useful if you don't use "Google Play" Store

I have a "Google free" phone --- meaning it is totally stripped of all Googly things and Google Play in particular.
