There's a rule, if you're in business you want to maximize your potential customers.

If you become political, you are reducing your potential customers.

You don't go political. Disney not only went political, they took it as a fight. It's just plainly the wrong move.

Right, but he professional–managerial class [1] aren't really capitalists. Some of them look down at major parts of their potential customers base with extreme disdain.
