Mass exodus would be a good thing. If he wants it to change, there is no reason to keep people that are not onboard with whatever it is he wants to do. And there are probably lots that would like to work there under the new regime. Musk should communicate what changes he intends asap, and let people get on board of bail asap, to get on with whatever he's doing.
A mass exodus has already begun. Mastodon has been blowing up over the past few days, I think ~600,000 accounts have been made in the last 24 hours on the main instance alone. I'm pretty excited for the future if people are this willing to go back to federated social media.

Wow, that's stunning. Does anyone currently track or graph these stats?

I wonder if we'll see a resurgence of aggregator (like FriendFeed) or real-time search (like Collecta) startups/services.
Probably use the platform to help his other businesses, starlink, tesla, boring, etc.
This is what many billionaires do when they buy TV and Radio stations as well as newspapers. It's more of a political tool than anything else, I would suspect.
Sour grapes. These princesses won't be able to hamper growth with their poor leadership any longer. Find a job ruining another company. Twitter is about to go to the moon. When the millions of bot accounts are deleted MSM will call it an exodus.
