Most days I charge at home, and even with the relatively insane electricity prices we've got these days it's less than half the cost of what it would cost if we had an ICE in terms of fuel/energy cost.
Difference calculated is £570/year (was £403 in 2021).
But this happens because petrol has increased prices more than electricity, according to the example in the article, yearly use of petrol raised £300 while electricity for charging "only" £137.
