The tweet wasn't particularly informative. Under what "action" did they justify unionizing? Students? Researchers? Teachers? some combination of these? Back in ancient times, I was a student and researcher being paid (most semesters) by being a teacher (TA). If one's boss had money or you were really good, you didn't need the support and so didn't teach.
