I am really happy about this. Kinds should really learn basic concepts of programming and in general of how a computer works. They don't all need to become super programmers, but it would definitely help them in the future, if only to know what to expect from their IT co-workers and what is possible. I hope though that this computer science classes are really something in this direction and not only learn how to use powerpoint or word (I am convinced that many politics in Germany still think this is what is meant with computer science).
