Typing this from Yes-one-of-THOSE-2017-Macbook-Pros, apparently their keyboard woes were fixed once they ditched the issue-prone butterfly design.

Typing on a "it's fixed this time, really" MacBook pro 2019 which seems to suffer from double keypresses regardless I'm sceptical...
