So yes, as long as people insist on primarily eating vertebrates (cows, pigs, etc.), it is impossible.
With insect-based meat, the situation would be much different.
Say something is impossible is a defeatist attitude, or perhaps the "my camp or you are evil" posturing that dominates contemporary online interaction.
