What can we do to get more women into coding? (bbc.co.uk)

I never understand this kind of article. It's never "What can we do to get more women into collecting trash?" -- and you'll say I'm being facetious. But why not just let humans -- including women -- do what they want to do? And if this is an inherent good, why aren't we trying to get the men who aren't already into coding into coding too?

I wish they had elaborated on this. Like backwards toward identifying the goal (eg, avoiding XY problems)?
