[dupe]

Main discussion over here: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=29996432

Comments moved thither. Thanks!

to me its todays news.

There's no explanation anywhere on that page about what the difference is between G Suite and Google Workspace.

Regardless, the only reason I use them is because it was free. Not a chance in hell that I'm going to actually pay Google to spy on me.

I’ve thought for a while about moving my email out of gmail/gsuite, but for me the best feature is priority inbox. Whenever I get a push notification of an incoming email it’s one I’d want to know about. Had anyone else caught up?

Outlook(.com) has "Focused Inbox" which does the same kind of tricks watching which types of content you interact with regularly and only surfacing those until you want to go read your "All Messages" tab. (my recollection of the tab names may only be approximate)

Yesterday's enormous thread on this is here: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=29996432

Ah, that's why my submission was registered as a dupe. Working too hard and missed this completely. Thank you.

There is an odd not-very-well written media coverage article in OP at yesterdays article instead of the official Google announceent you have here. ¯\\_(ツ)_/¯

There was a seperate post submitted with the official google link yesterday ( https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=29997776 ), but I guess the article got traction more and mods merged into that.
