As a Gro engineer, you will be challenged with building out systems at scale to serve our broader mission of providing essential information products to the world. While deep domain knowledge and machine learning are powering the application and underlying analytical engines, our current hiring focus is on infrastructure, platforms, and frameworks at scale - we are fundamentally a big data platform, with all of the challenges that come with that.
The first link is for our technical infrastructure group (think decomposing monoliths, CI/CD, scaling data pipelines from petabytes to exabytes). Most importantly - engineers for this role should have at least one area of deep understanding in an area of software engineering fundamentals and be passionate about building & scaling systems. These roles will be a rewarding challenge and are sorely needed here at Gro as we scale out and up.
Second link - application framework team - is for a new team that we are creating to build a framework to allow our internal and external users to rapidly build and deploy new solutions/visualizations with our data. Here, we're looking for people with strong frontend experience combined with API design knowledge.
