You may be missing the point. Sure, buy a Mac so you can test your site on it, but buy an old, slow Mac, not a top-of-the-range shiny thing.

Tablets --- that's more interesting, because they're all new. I don't know to what extent it makes sense to optimise for the ipad 2 -v- the original ipad.
