It was a bit tongue in cheek -- the communist bit is laughable.

Palantir works with ICE, NSA, CIA, FBI and likely plenty of other organizations which embody Big Brother. And then there's the avid support of a certain political figure who embodies modern kakistocracy, with fascist undertones.
