To build. Period. It's the act of creating that's important to me. The end result is a happy side effect. It's the only kind of art I know how to make.
This also is one of the motivators for me. Simply creating that perfect little script, getting the computer to bend to your will and do things others didn't think was possible, is a great feeling, even if you end up not using it that often.
