Seriously asking - does a fragmented CPU field even matter in today's software ecosystem of high-level languages, frameworks and extensive compiler infrastructures/virtual machines ?
Wouldn't such a divergence merely only increase the demand for compiler-backend/VM engineers making this job segment more attractive ?
