Yes I understood it as a conversion tracker. The look of the page is nice so my impression is the product would be nice too. I'm not in the market for a conversion tracker at the moment but occasionally I am.
I didn't know what The Segment was and didn't quite understand the value prop vs other trackers, other than easy configuration (which could be enough to pique my interest). A code sample could help. I like that the beta is free but would be concerned about cost later. I can do some simple conversion tracking with GA for free, so I would be looking for something that does what they do better and simpler, this looks promising for that.
I would say: slick page - maybe add a small example of the tracking code to show simplicity. Or an actual screen of the product. I didn't click through mostly because not in the market but I might later if I have time just to give feedback if it helps.
