NativeScript is the best hybrid mobile app platform that you've never heard of. I think it's better than React Native (strictly at a functionality level), and beats the WebView approaches hands down.
The project has seen many stewards and seems to only be getting better though it still deals with old crufty packages that aren't maintained as much (if you search for certain things you'll come across very old repos with sometimes old unfixed bugs).
