You may cheer this on because it aligns with you politics but you are being very short sighted as to how this will all turn out. Chemical weapons always sound like a good idea until the wind changes. In 2001 Republicans cheered on the Patriot act because they thought it would only be used against their enemies. 15 years later those same surveillance laws were used to spy on and undermine the Republican presidential candidate.

Mmmmm. Funny thing about that Minority rule thing. A "minority" may keep an issue contentious that the majority considers resolved, but you never know when it'll be something important to you barely hanging on by a thread.
This is the system working as intended. Stuff gets tried. It gets challenged after a short period of inconvenience. If it becomes too inconvenient, an action potential will be reached in the legislature. Federalism is not the enemy. Abuse of Federalism for causes it has no place being invoked for is.
