On: SQLModel – SQL Databases in FastAPI

Does it work outside of FastAPI or is it tied to it? We sort of shoved SQLAlchemy into Starlette (which FastAPI also uses) and it would be great if this library also works with Starlette. Thanks!

Yes of course! It is based on (and depends on) SQLAlchemy and Pydantic.

And SQLModel, the same as those two dependencies, are independent of any framework, so you can combine them with anything you need.
