Why would someone think the creator is imprisoned or killed? He is writing a software, not making a bomb.

Tell that to the guy who taught Blockchain and cryptocurrency to North Korea. Software is becoming the new frontier of political power projection.

I'd caution anyone making the establishment's life more difficult to tread carefully.
