How I Review 2,000 Olympics Photos and Deliver 25 Right Away (petapixel.com)

A relative of mine is a professional photographer and watching them work, especially the part that follows after the shots, is always mesmerizing. Perhaps an apt comparison between how a pro goes through images and how the rest of us do is how a rally driver drives differently than the rest of us. Filtering images into the keep and don't piles, fixing color balance or exposure where need be, other adjustments, everything happens in such a short span of time and so fluently that it's like watching a seasoned pianist play a piece they know by heart. Getting these small glimpses into what someone else has honed into a very fine art over a long period of time is always both a privilege and a joy, and if the opportunity arises I recommend it highly.
