very interesting! I wonder if targeting inflammation is the right approach though. To elaborate, swelling and inflammation after injury or physical stress serves a purpose and should NOT be 'treated' to disappear [1]. In the same way, I wonder if inflammation is something which aids in aging rather the root cause of many of the issues it causes (sure, it may certainly have some unwelcome side effects). That said, welcome this research and how it can be used for living and non-living creatures.
The problem is inflammation with no cause other than a breakdown of immune processes. I have an autoimmune condition and this tool could help guide treatment decisions.
