As much as it pains me to agree with anything McCardle writes, good pies are few and far between these days. However, I can also vouch for Petsi Pies in Somerville. Good pie.


Baking is labor intensive and good baked Goods cost a lot because of the high labor price component. Most food Americans eat is machine made with low labor component and therefore low cost.
