There's a glut of lawyers, despite all of the gatekeeping and credentialing in that industry. Don't think you can blame it on the ABA for that. Professional associations are from different from unions. The stated reason for the existence of a professional association is the protection of the public. Unions, on the other hand, exist for the benefit of their members.
