I appreciate these mini-articles for vim. It's very easy to use specific commands so often that you forget about otheres that are really convenient when you need them on occasion.

For the longest time I was hand-editing my code snippets to be colourized in html, and then one day someone here posted an article that mentioned TOhtml. I was kicking myself because I had it installed and completely forgot.


Mastering Vim Quickly by @jovica is a great resource for the 80/20 overview. Certainly very helpful for the beginner.

Random tip: You can open the last edited file on the machine by starting Vim and typing Ctrl+o+o :)
