Show HN: Eulogy.io – Generate a loved one's eulogy with GPT-3

Last week I got access to OpenAI's beta program. I also recently bought a domain name. So naturally, a side project was born.

Eulogy.io is a website used to generate ideas for a eulogy or speech about someone. All you need to do is provide a name and short description of the person. Eulogy.io then generates a handful of ideas ready to copy/paste.

Why build this?

I had two deaths in my family when I was young. I know how hard it is to produce anything creative after a loved one passes away. I'm hoping this can help generate a spark of creativity at times when all seems lost.

There were some weird ones, but I liked this

Michael Warot made this world a better place when he left, and I will always remember the time we spent together.

"Michael Warot was the person whom, in my opinion, best characterized encouragement"

Thanks for trying it out! There are definitely some weird results that come through. But also some gems as well. Glad you found a good one

I am going to try playing with the OpenAI settings a bit more and see if that helps. Also planning to feed more examples to train the model. Very new to GPT-3 so lots to learn!
