Ask HN: Greatest meta-entrepreneurs (besides pg)?
4 points by mdlm on April 19, 2021 | hide | past | favorite | 4 comments
In addition to pg, who are the greatest meta-entrepreneurs?

P.S. I'm surprised that pg's site does not use https. P.P.S. Why is pg never listed on a billionaires list (or a Midas list)? P.P.P.S. In his Feb 2021 essay "What I Worked On," pg says he was rejected by the MIT AI grad program. It's impossible to overstate how important this event is in startup/world history. At that time the MIT AI lab was the best AI lab in the the world by a huge margin so pg would've probably been sucked into a third-rate research job.

Define "greatest" and "meta".

But in general there are a lot, Marc Andreessen, Peter Thiel who are more vocal and visible come to mind immediately.

Why would he want that? As far as I can see, he does not even have comment section. There is no data going the other way, let alone data that needs protection.

> Why is pg never listed on a billionaires list

I think the billionaires list is of founders of publicly listed companies whose wealth is determined by public records. Has YC IPO'd?

Wow! You do have a knack for extrapolation!

pg? Who's pg?
