This is interesting if you are on, say Shopify, and can't use something like mod_rewrite to manage your URL routing because hosted solutions are locked down af. Another benefit is that it makes migrating between app providers easier but it makes you more dependant on a network services provider like Cloudflare.

So much of Cloudflare's offering really is about concentrating app code and data onto their platform. How long before they become the next Salesforce?
