The Alameda-Weehawken Burrito Tunnel (idlewords.com)

The worst part is that for those of us living in the east bay, El Farolito and Taqueria Guadalajara will send burritos thousands of miles away but not to Lake Merritt.

Fun fact, this is how the terms FTTN and FTTH arose. Farolito to the Newark (distribution center) versus Farolito to the Home. Sadly, for those of us living in the first mile around Alameda, we're deprived of the amazing Mission burrito by our friends in a much more Eastern East bay.

Maybe it's the global warming but why is April so early this year? ^^

It's just a joke. It doesn't exist.

Nothing is clear enough to show that it is not serious, on the site, so it's worth precising.

A story from the same site that I quite enjoyed:

I’ve had several such burritos when I lived in NYC.

Dude, you see, on the site, that map of the US with a huge pipe from West to East for burritos?

Nobody makes that even for oil, least for burritos lol.

The part about magnets and aluminum foil was the giveaway for me. I knew aluminium foil wasn't ferrous but apparently the author didn't.

Being conductive may be enough.

Search for videos of a copper ring falling slowly on a strong magnet (or vice versa); eddy currents create a strong magnetic field.

I expected this to be about the Webster Street Tube, the tunnel you drive through to get from Oakland to the Taco Bell in Alameda.

I can confirm most of this story. It has been years since I’ve been able to get a quick burrito at La Taqueria. Mi Yucatan, half a block away, isn’t plugged into the system so you can definitely get food under there under 15 mins. They’re also talking about adding an extension down the 24th corridor, east of Mission. There you got Vallarta, Wise and Son, El Farolito, and half a dozen more. I hear they’re also testing rolled papusas

Now I want a burrito.
