Still got the original boxed cd at home.

Looking back it was actually a really brave, but fresh UI look. Pinstripes, semi-transparency and those big Aqua themed buttons and scrollbars everywhere.

Hats off to the designers who came up with it, it gave me a fresh perspective on computing after 4 years of working on Windows NT.


I was a Software Testing Engineer intern for Office in Microsoft's Macintosh Business Unit in summer 2001, and it felt like Apple was using us to get through some secret backlog of weird bugs, especially when I had 5am printer test duty.

But I also saw my first iBook, and fell in love.


I'm a diehard cwm user today, but when I was a teen I loved OSX' interface (specially with Tiger) among KDE3 and the Slick icons and some transparent theme.
