This is the problem with all fads. They are usually great ideas pulled from smart and capable teams, but, then the soulless "how many flair do you have?" companies try to replicate it. They eventually take over the fad, and instead of becoming smart and capable themselves, they make the fad soulless and "how many flair do you have?" This is exactly what happened to Agile.
