Regardless of the absurdity of the claims he is making, this suspension is a sad reminder of the complete breakdown of political discourse in the US.
When even a major Party Politician can no longer spew lies on (internet) television because the dominant corporation deems his lies to be unacceptable, Freedom of Speech is dead. The precedent Google has been setting with this and similar actions is making them become the supreme arbiter of truth, a role they might soon wish they never had taken on. The responsibility to enforce the actual law on their platform is already becoming more than they can chew. What will they do to the political voices criticizing Googles monopoly power ? Will their Videos be banned for minor inaccuracies? Once Your Platform has become a major marketplace for Ideas and political speech, the Standard for how you can police the platform changes.
I think Google is doing the right thing because this man urged trial by combat last time he got a hold of a microphone. His comments in this case are lies that amount to nothing more than propaganda. I'm shocked it took this long. People like Giuliani make life worse for everyone -- in this case, he even made life worse for himself.
There has got to be a bus stop somewhere between that terminal and the one where Giuliani stepped off the bus.
I don't believe these policies are all-or-nothing, and some level of self-moderation is probably the only way to maintain the freedom that we enjoy without governmental obligation.
Giuliani can be all the crazy he wants to be. That still does not change the fact that the votes that gave Biden the election came by the hundreds of thousands, out of nowhere, after 400 AM, when the counting was supposedly stopped for no reason, long after all election observers and the press had been escorted out of the building...
CLAIM: Graph shows that over 100,000 votes for Joe Biden in Wisconsin “came out of nowhere.”
AP’S ASSESSMENT: Missing context. Milwaukee didn’t finish counting absentee ballots until 3 a.m. The outstanding ballots at that point -- including 169,000 from Milwaukee -- overwhelmingly broke for the Democrat. Based on the counting of in-person votes, President Donald Trump initially had the lead in Wisconsin on election night, but once all the votes were counted, Biden picked up the win. The counting of those outstanding ballots shows up as a big surge in the tally, but those votes didn’t come “out of nowhere.”
I guess it's a good thing to have AP, youtube, CNN, etc. tell us that what we saw with our own eyes is not what we saw with our own eyes. That statistical impossibilities don't matter when the right candidate ends up winning. That asking questions is not allowed. I wish I could refer you to contrary views about the election, but as you've probably heard, anything different from the official version is banned for your own protection, like youtube banned Giuliani. Maybe you think this is a hurt right-winger writing, but believe me, it does not matter if your preferred candidate took the election or not, you must always demand clean elections. A government that is elected by means of fraud will not respect any of us, regardless of our ideals.
AP does election projections. Give credit where it's due. I don't think you're a hurt right-winger, I think you might prefer to live in an echo chamber where any controverting evidence is shouted down rather than examined and considered. You made a statement with no evidence and yet you reject my response because apparently nothing from a media organization could ever be rock-solid.

Looking at it from Europe, this looks like the obvious consequence of decades of "free market fundamentalist" in America. If the free market magically solves all problems, eventually corporations will be making the rules. No surprises here.
This must look suspicious to people in other countries. Can you imagine what we'd say if Russia were censoring people for questioning their election? We'd assume guilt. It's not a smart move.
