The consequence of industrial cycles (like the 19th century's industrial revolution or today's digital economy) is always triggering progress on socialism; Atlassian acquiring another company is applied Darwinism. At some point, humans will ever die or live in simulations where things go differently.
Chartio manages to make dashboards easy by removing all the proprietary layers and extra UI steps to get to the point.
I am not talking about easy as point and click (although I know they are selling that too).
Easy for me was to allowing me to focus 99% of my attention on writing the SQL query.
Superset has a similar philosophy but is in need of a UX overhaul. It also lacks some seemingly small but very important features that Chartio has. Mainly because in superset the operations are done in python on the already retrieved result.
Sigh. It feels like the entire internet is owned by less than 10 companies. I hate to live in such a monopolistic world
