Taiwan the nation is quite valuable

Taiwan the land, not so much

Move the population to the US, grant them citizenship, let China take the land, which the US cannot defend anyway

This would also be a boon to airlines and cruise companies, providing a full year of nonstop work

The land itself may not be valuable as such but the way the people are organized and function as a whole is. Moving the people to a new location wouldn’t necessarily duplicate value of that society.
