I sort of agree. What I find appalling is that the legislature is aware if the issue and refuses to fix it (do their job). If it's really that clear cut, then surely the people can speak through their representatives to fix this issue.



As an analogy, how many clear cut bugs do you think are known and exist in a backlog at any given software company? Answer: a lot.


If you continue that analogy, how many of those bugs are something they fire the developer over?

It's one thing to have a defect. It's another to use it against someone, especially is that dev met the requirements.
