I think the people in favor of this, and the squashing of Parler, must be modeling the activities of the people most affected by this as something like the spread of a disease; cut off the transmission, and things don't get worse.

I can't help but see it more like cutting off the steam vents to an active volcano.


I'm reminded of the music industry's clampdown on Napster and how that went.


Another 1 million Gab users signed up in the last 48 hours and you can add another ~70k QAnon users too.

"DepLAtforMiNG wORkS" they say. But they only say this because they don't know which platform all the lost and banned users are now going to.

This time it cannot be de-platformed like before.
