How likely is it that Nvidia will mimic the SoC approach and provide a similar unified architecture for PC vendors? Could this be the end for ATX components?


Nvidia has been making SoCs for years. Phone, tablet, and PC vendors don't want them.


If they were selling an ITX motherboard with a Nvidia SOC soldered on it with M1 perfs I bet quite a few of us would buy it.


nVidia is in the process of acquiring ARM; I could see them marrying their GPU design skill with an ARM CPU to make a very compelling SoC.


They already did that.
