I always scrape recipes now from the first few searches of google but that wasn’t always the case. I remember borrowing recipes or flipping through worn, tattered notebooks my mom kept. The pages were stained and items and quantities were scratched off or altered, the margins contained illegible notes. Many recipes had an origin or little story: “Jen’s recipe” or “Pop’s favourite”.
