I can only repeat myself but maybe there will be a change if HN would show sympathy to deplatforming that happens on Twitter, Facebook, Reddit etc.

Every single time someone posts about those the majority of replies here, are "They are a private company so they can do whatever they want!"

There is no difference here. Like or comment on a "wrong" Youtube video? Say goodbye to your Google account.

Plus: GMail for most people is a free service. They can just close it down and are under no obligation to continue their service to you. It happens to paid accounts too, so maybe switch important Accounts to a smaller service that needs you as a customer and therefore provides customer service
