Ask HN: How can we improve Public Developer Documentation?
1 point by bnchrch on Nov 13, 2020 | hide | past | favorite | 1 comment
Some companies seem to get developer documentation and support right (Stripe, Plaid, Netlify).

While others seems to struggle either outputting content, keeping it up to date or maintaining clarity. (Auth0, Yodlee).

What does HN think the biggest barrier to maintaining healthy public facing docs is?

One area I think is particularly challenging is wrangling third party tutorials. Either no one has written a stellar "get started tutorial" yet, or the existing one that ranks well on google is out of date.
