I recall reading something from an Apple engineer about fixing something before enabling WebGL 2.0 by default.

But it's only a click away:

    Develop > Experimental Features > WebGL 2.0


The problem persists when wanting to deploy something using webgl2, since the vast majority of Safari users will not have changed the default.

Also, it’s more than one touch away on iPhone. And I’m not sure you can force it in a web view.
