Maybe they will replace it with an AI-powered option: "Show only comments that confirm my pre-existing worldview".


Why would they bother with that project when mods are already so good at that job?


Classic reddit. Sorting by controversial is the only way to read subs like r/politics.

Looks like old.reddit.com (and Apollo app) are unaffected, for now. Not sure if that sorting is done client side or server side?


Old reddit continues to degrade day by day, one day it will be unusable.


I haven't seen the difference... In what ways is it degrading?


It has to be done server side considering reddit api doesn't show how many upvotes or downvotes comments get.


How else are they going to suppress wrongthink.
