Palladium can store incredible amounts of hydrogen within its crystal lattice - was Tony Stark right all along?



The nuclei in hydrogen-laden palladium are still on the order of an angstrom apart. For fusion to occur at a detectable rate they must be much closer.


If you can get a muon between them they fuse spontaneously.


The muon pulls them 200x closer to each other.
